We have looked at a few different music videos and their relevence when looking at intertextuality within them. First we looked at 'Material Girl' by Madonna, this music video links with intertextuality in that it has been drawn from a film starring Marilyn Monroe. The scene is almost identical within the colourscheme and outfits however Madonna is singing in the place of Marilyn, this shows a popular film which has been adapted to build popularity.
We also watched Bohemian Rhapsody by Queen, we chose this because it was the start of the music video trend, although there had been these videos around prior to this. This video used effects and transitions never before seen in music videos that were only just coming to films.
